Lower cost alone is never a good reason to consider homebirth, though it may play a part in your decision. Insurance industry studies consistently demonstrate that homebirth is less expensive than hospital births. In Alaska, homebirth is covered by insurance and by Denali Kid Care. I also accept credit cards, or we can work out a payment plan.
